What is an EPD?

An EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) is a transparent and standardised document that describes the environmental impact of a product throughout its life cycle - from raw material extraction to production, use and final disposal (cradle to grave). EPDs are based on a life cycle assessment (LCA) according to international standards such as ISO 14025 and EN 15804.

Through an EPD, you get concrete data on the product's climate impact in terms of, for example:
